What's the difference between a squad and a team?

A squad is a group of founders each running their own separate business: different ideas, different industries, different goals. What they share is accountability, momentum, and a squad that shows up every week no matter what.
A Team
Builds the same business. Together.
A team shares a single goal, a single product, a single outcome. They split equity, divide roles, and rise or fall as one. That's a co-founder. That's a partnership. That's not what SQUADRUN is.
Does SQUADRUN take equity? Does anyone get a stake in my business?
No — never. SQUADRUN takes zero equity, zero ownership, and zero claim to your business, your idea, your revenue, or your IP — and neither do your squadmates. A squad is founders building their own separate businesses side by side for accountability. It is not a partnership, not a co-founder arrangement, and not a shared cap table. You keep 100% of what you build. Full stop.
Do I need to have a business idea to join?
No. You can be at any stage: idea, early build, or already generating revenue. You join squads with founders at a similar stage so the accountability is actually relevant to where you are.
What happens if my squad isn't a good fit?
During the formation window you can leave or join squads freely. Once the squad roster locks, you're in for the mission. If things genuinely aren't working, you can leave mid-mission, and join another squad during the next formation window.
I already have a team. Can we use SQUADRUN together?
Yes. If you already have your people, skip the browse and create your own squad and invite your crew directly.
